Runners I’ve coached
I’ve supported runners training for events including London, Chicago, Richmond and Brighton marathons, as well as the Big Half marathon. Many have achieved times beyond the goals they originally set for themselves, but just as importantly they’ve enjoyed the training process and arrived at the start line feeling prepared and confident. My aim is always to help runners get the best out of themselves while keeping running sustainable and enjoyable.

Coaching built around you
Every runner arrives with different goals, experience, time constraints and motivations, so coaching is always tailored to the individual. Together we shape the right training structure, adjust it as life and training evolve, and focus on the areas that will make the biggest difference for you.
Coaching packages are flexible and priced according to the level of support and frequency of interaction you’d like.

About Mary
I’m an England Athletics running coach and a long-time runner myself, with experience ranging across road and trail marathons, half ironman triathlons and long distance swims..
I've coached groups and individuals from my base in Hilly Fields, South East London for many years.
Alongside coaching, I’m also a sports massage therapist, which gives me an additional perspective on injury prevention, recovery and sustainable training.
I offer highly individual coaching packages on a monthly subscription basis. Each programme is shaped around your goals, experience and the time you have available for training.
Support typically includes some of the following, although the exact mix is tailored to you:

Understanding your motivations and what you want to achieve

Identifying and adapting the right training plan

Setting realistic time goals

Ongoing monitoring of your training and adjusting the plan as needed

A weekly stress and recovery questionnaire to assess training readiness

Event strategy and preparation advice

Ongoing support throughout the plan, including scheduled calls, weekly emails and availability on WhatsApp for ad hoc questions

"What is difficult is to try and narrow down just what it was about working with Mary that made such a difference…and I can’t. It was everything.
